You can stay over the 90 days but they probably won’t let you have another visa if you ever want to come back to the US. So it works if you want to visit the US only once in your lifetime.

I have no idea if this works, but it might be worth looking in to…

You also plan to visit Canada… what if you do 90 days in US, then visit Canada, then return to US for another 90 days… can that work?

Cartophiliac may have something worth looking into there. As a US citizen, I’ve never had to deal with a US visa, but I can tell you that when I moved to South Korea I was on a tourist visa and could stay in the country for no more than 90 days at a time, although the visa was good for five years. The solution to this was to take a ferry to Japan and back every 90 days. As long as I left (even briefly,) I was welcome to come back.

I heard you couldn’t do that in the statesm that you had to be out of the country for 90 days to reset your visa. Anyway a boyfriend of someone at work used to work for the UK’s US embassy and he said I could get a type of visa that lets you stay for 6 months - USA! USA!

Love for you to stay in Pennsylvania! You’ve got a room here if you need it! An hour from Harrisburg, PA; 2 hours from Philadelphia (by train)
    Keep up the great work!

You should be able to stay for 6 months at a time - but I believe you have to apply for this visa in advance. If you do not apply in advance (if you just show up in america)- you can go for 3 months at a time. I was recently in america (i’m american) for 6 months and my english boyfriend joined me for 3 months, then went to england and popped back for 3 more months.

Just be glad you’re not dealing with residential visas or greencards.
Man, are they a pain in the ass.

Rent the movie Green Card, take notes, emulate plot, stay here forever, drink PBR like its tap water, learn to call Taco Bell your new home from home, it’ll be heavenly.
