mko, this is from the wikipedia entry on Passover: “The term “passover” refers to God’s sparing of the Hebrew firstborn as he saw the blood of the Passover lamb on the doorposts of their houses on the night of the Tenth Plague.”
I think the red cross on the door is a Jewey ritual and indicates that the woman of the house is currently on the blob.

The goats blood on the door is indeed referring to the ancient story of passover - however that is a funny thought that it would be because my mother is so angry!
