Have you tried an eighties power ballads, that should cheer you up. Back in the eighties feel good films were much much more cheesy and superficial.

P.S. you've been nominated for a bloggy! Stop worrying about the hits or the whole thing will become crap. Note how I haven't pointed out the fact that my blog has a recent post all about power ballads. Hits aren't why we do this!

I love 80s films - I'm sure Cocoon would make me cry right now. Yeah I know I am numbers obsessed but I don't think i would do this if nobody was reading it I don't have enough self-motivation.

*sniff* thanks everyone!! I don't want to come across like I am ungrateful, I think that's how it comes across - my recent sadness is much more to do with family stuff (it's not appropriate to blog about all of it) than the blog it's just sometimes it feels like everything is happening at once.

Today's post just makes me love your stuff MORE! I was out with a bunch of (geeky, but in a cool way) guys last Thursday and they'd all heard of Local Girl and were fans - at last, I feel part of the 'in crowd'. 32 years it took...and YOU did that!

Also, Local Girl is a useful social tool when wanting to change conversational topics...

For all those girls out there wondering what men talk about when we're somewhere else obsessing about them... Shit. Literally. they like talking about poo. How much, when, HOW best to...perch in various European countries...

Local Girl helped deflect the defect!

Get well soon, Caroline's dad! I met him once, and he was very nice.

Juno: yeah, at first I was worried it was trying to be Ghost World (no film can ever be Ghost World), but it turned out alright. Why does Jason Bateman always play twerps on film? (Juno, The Kingdom, The Ex - fools in all)
If there is an Arrested Development film, it will be the best thing ever.

Add me to the list of those who have recently stumbled upon your blog (without using StumbleUpon, I might add). I've tried (and failed) to write a blog so many times in the past, so I admire the ability to keep going - and make it funny :D

and yes, Juno is a great film...

I hope you win your Bloggie- You deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chin up, LG. Your blog is one of my favorite blogs on my daily read routine. It's clever, unique, and hilarious. I'm sure your parents are proud of you. Seriously, the posts in which they appear are some of the best.

We all fall into those low moments every now and then... that emotion is our human, empathetic connection with one another.... if we didn't have those down moments, we'd all be assholes... imagine, a planet full of O 0 o O o 0.... not too pretty... you just have to pause and ask what this diffucult moment is trying to teach you and move forward in your life with the lesson - and expect more of those moment/lessons to come, they're here to serve you and your brilliant mind! Release ego so nothings in your way of your truth. Release toxic people in your life. Be only alongside people who want the best for you as much as possible.

If you feel lonely, write your Love List... 100 qualities you want your man to have, down to the color of his socks, then put it away and forget about it so the Universe can do it's job. Let him come to you.

Don't worry about the numbers, they weren't our crowd anyway. Fuck em.
You need to cut out the chaff once in a while.
The people left are your true fans, yeah.
    It'll grow, just keep going.
If you need another boost just let us all know, OK?

Maybe you need a new gimmick to liven up the blog... like a new character! Talking dog, perhaps? Or a funny alien.

In all seriousness, I love it here. Change nothing.

    Caroline,

Sometimes I find myself wincing at how honest and open you are with the things that happen in your life (that's a good thing, by the way). Please don't give up based on numbers, as they mean nothing. You've got a talent that you should continue to share, regardless of the size of your audience. If nothing else, at least for the "experience points".

Hope your dad is well and keep up the good work.
