   Hi LG/CC,

   I have been enjoying your wonderfully unique blog style since you made the “Blogs of Note” list. (Lucky you!)

   I injured my back on Christmas Eve and have been bed-ridden since. Your blog has truly made me laugh more than anything else in this time of hell. I love your humor, I love your drawings and I love your wry look at life.

   On a side note, I especially had a laugh at your comments on your dad and his “Now that you are pretty…” Parents kill me!

   It reminded me of my mom who always bought me the same clothes that she bought my brothers. Same shorts, same shirts, etc. I never had a Barbie doll but I had a bicycle and a fly fishing rod. Then when I was about 22, she had “that talk” with me — I should surround myself with more feminine things (like “pretty” DINNER PLATES!!!) to soften my “tomboyish demeanor”!!

   Keep up the great work!

   Hi local girl

   I understand…. I too have felt like death warmed up all over christmas, I made up for it on NYE tho. During the christmas period I took my bike out for a ride along the coast in the sunshine, after 200 yards of cold, damp air I coughed so much I had to go back and back to bed. Hope you feel better soon.
